Streets for All

Madison  is partnering with Beach Cities Health District and the City of Redondo Beach on a safety campaign — “Streets for All” — to educate the community on how they can create safe streets for everyone including bicyclists, pedestrians, drivers, strollers, people with disabilities and skateboarders.

The education campaign will focus on school zones and high-traffic corridors like Prospect Avenue, one of the main residential connecting routes of the three Beach Cities. This is an important topic for parents because from 2010 to 2013, there were 64 car crashes involving bicyclists or pedestrians near Redondo Beach schools. Plus, research indicates that educational efforts can improve safety and increase the number of children walking and biking to and from school.

Get involved by picking up lawn sign to display in your front yard (Your principal will confirm time/date of when to pick-up signs). The entire family is invited to participate with Beach Cities Health District and other community partners. Learn more and register HERE!
